Macau remains the world’s biggest casino market by a wide margin. Full-year 2024 GGR was MOP$226.8 billion (about US$28.3 billion), up 23.9% in a second post-reopening rebound and back to roughly 77.5% of the 2019 peak. Gaming underpins public finances: the government collected around US$11 billion in gaming tax, up 35%.
